Event Details

Over the past few years rhetoric about Muslims in our country has been heated and often full of misconceptions. Stereotypes and strawmen stand in for our real neighbors, and the truth gets obscured.

Did you know that according to a 2009 Gallup Poll, American Muslim women are the second highest educated group of women in the U.S.? Or that there are more than 10,000 American Muslims serving in our nation's armed forces and many have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation? Or that one out of every 18 medical doctors across the U.S. is an American Muslim?

Join us and hear from a panel of local Seattle-area Muslims including an American Muslim military veteran, a professional American Muslim woman and others about their faith, families, hopes and dreams. Audience questions are welcome and encouraged!
